Not A question Here is some info on Free and low cost dental services?
I think you should post this list once every day. So many of the people coming here are asking for exactly this information. Yes, HM is right in saying that there can be problems with obtaining cheap or free care, but I think (hope) many people understand this is just part of the deal.
Reply:Thanks for all of that free info! But none of those are anywhere near where I live. Oh, well. You have probably helped somebody find a good dentist today. I am fine with my dentist though. But will consider this if a problem arises.

I don't know any good links though, sorry.
Reply:The problem with places like this is that you get what you pay for. I have had so many patients want to get the cheapest dental work that they could, and then in a year or two they come back in complaining that their crown came off, their root canal failed, their denture didn't fit. It someone goes into it knowing that cheap or free dental work may back fire on them, then these places are fine, but they need to be made aware of the bad side of these places.
Reply:GREAT JOB on the info.I think the dentist's and the clinical staff that provide these type of services are doing a remarkable job most of them do it on a volunteer bases and should be commended for the work they do.

Opening a FREE dental clinic.....?

I want to open a dental clinic that would be free to the public and other than my desire for people to have free dental care, I have no idea how to go about it. Can you help?

Opening a FREE dental clinic.....?
That is a really nice idea, a non-profit dental clinic. You will need a license, insurance, commercial space/location, equipment, staff, and volunteers, among other things. I'm not sure how one would go about implementing such a plan, maybe researching non-profits, looking for some common links and ideas from those that are already established.
Reply:Thanks..Good Luck :) Report It

Reply:I hope you are a real dentist and you have paid off all your school loans....
Reply:No, unfortunately. Good luck with that though. God knows it's needed.
Reply:I hope you get it started, I know I would come for a visit or two. Just one question, how would you recieve an income?

Free dental programs?

I have exstensive dental problems but can't get a job because of it and have no insurance is there any free dental programs in chicago that could possibly help me with this problem?

Free dental programs?
There should be free dental clinics in your area, check your yellow pages. Also look for local colleges that have dental schools. Treatment can be done for minimal costs, although you have to keep in mind that it is a learning facility so be prepared to spend some time there. I'm not sure about any major dental work, but maybe they can steer you in the right direction. Best wishes!

I would like to know about any FREE DENTAL CARE In New Jersey or West New York...Or some periodontist that could provide free dental care......please contact me.........thank you..bye

Free dental care?
you may want to try to go dental school in university. They need patients to practice on their dental skills. because they charge less than regular dentists and sometimes they might offer free dental work. good luck
Reply:Do not know about your area, but a lot of dental schools provide reduced fee care, one price for students doing the work, another for professors. Check university dental schools.
Reply:Just wondering - would YOU be willing to work for free?
Reply:Dental schools will give you a discount. If you want to get

a break with regular dentists, go for either the eHealthPlus

membership or my DentalPlans membership. Search

by zip codes of either NJ or New York.

Free dental services in the contra costa county?

okay i am in desperate need of wisdom teeth extractions and i know that they are extremely costly. i have no insurance what so ever and i have been searching for the longest time ever for health and dental insurance.

i am a full time student with no source of income, is there any programs or anything out in the contra costa county that will help.

i know many have told me to go to dental schools and they offer services there, but not at a reasonable price. they practically charge and arm and a leg just for x-rays of my teeth.

i just want to know if there are any dental services that help with the cost of dental services or even free dental services.

oh and i've tried contacting a lot of the offices of the contra costa health programs but i am not 21 yet and they won't help until i am. where else can i turn?

Free dental?

My friend suffers from bad teeth and need them pulled 8 or 9. He is thinking about pain, gets wretched and does it all over again. He works a full time job without benefits and cant get money to do this,HELP PLEASE

Free dental?
like lynn said, i would recommend calling around. either ask your own dentist if he would take on a pro bono case (good chance he will) or call a local dental school. i googled and there are several in your area. the other option is to call the dental assisting school. places like career colleges (the first to come to mind in my area is wester career college) does everything from free (or fee reduced) teeth cleaning, sealing, scaling, dental and nutritional counseling. i'm not sure if a dental assistant can pull teeth, but there is always a licensed dentist on staff at these places.

also, you can call the county health office. they often know of dentists who will do this, or at least accept payments or reduced fees.

you are a great friend for wanting to help out. that says a lot about you and your friendship!
Reply:You do not say what area you are from. There are clinics that are low-cost or free in some areas. It is usually based on your income. You might want to call a local dentist..they should know since they probably do some referring to these type of places. Also, some colleges have discounted or free dental "clinics" for their students to work on patients for school credit so you might want to check there and see if they have a dental program. Good Luck!
Reply:I see you are from Orlando. I am from Florida also.

I would suggest that your friend check to see if there is a teaching hospital in the area that has a dental clinic program where graduate students in denistry train. This is usually based on sliding scale to your income and even if your friend earns more than some, the cost would still be much less than going to a dentist's office. There is an excellent dental clinic at Shands, University of Florida in Gainesville. If he can't find one near him, check into it; I know its a ways to travel, but might be worth it. If it is an emergency, like a broken tooth or if you are in severe pain such as a tooth abcess, they will try to get you in right away.

good luck, eh!
Reply:I am not sure about your areas but you may want to check into a dental school
Reply:You have socialized medicine in Canada - that should cover your dental work. I have relatives in Montreal and their medical and dental is all covered so kindly tell me why it is not covered in Alberta.
