Where can I get CHEAP or FREE dental work.?

I have no insurance and need a root canal and a crown ... myabe just have the tooth pulled. Either way right now i am in severe pain!! Im in arlington texas.

Second, see if there's a dental college nearby. They may offer the same as part of the training for their students.

Reply:Well if u can afford a ticket, head to Costa Rica...or some Latin american country. They are really good and it's much cheaper than TX. You can get a root canal, crown, and a vacation for cheap!
Reply:In Canada we can go to a Dental College and have students work on our teeth for free..it's good experience for them...check around...make sure a Qualified Instuctor is present.

If you are young and desperate, try joining the military - all medical and dental is free. NOT into joining? Marry a service member; same deal applies to you.





Hmmm, thinking about it now, I'd go with the Mexico Dental Plan.
Reply:Try calling the local Techinical schools or Commuinty Colleges taht have Dental programs or classes, They need live paitients for thier sudents and so you get really cheap dental work done. (it shouldn't cost more than 100 bucks)





The students are usually well schooled and have had anywhere from a few-to-several months of training. Plus their teacher present during the preceedure.

check your phone book for a local dental school. They do the work for a reasonable price and Do accept insurance if you have it. Sometimes the work takes a little longer but it is much cheaper

NHS exemptions are only usually given to low income families or the disabled. If you are legally single and on a low income due to your studying you maybe able to apply for an discount and be able to claim back a percentage of NHS treatments or perscrptions. You can do this by obtainig an HC1 from your local Job Centre PLus or Dentist/Doctors Surgery/Opticans

Reply:It's unlikely as the NHS will only give full time students free treatment up to the age of 19. After that you can apply for reduced charges, ask at the doctors but unsure if you would qualify.

1. their courses are for more than 12 months' duration and


2. they attend full-time courses for 15 hours a week or more.





Full-time PhD students must obtain a letter from their university that confirms the two above points. Students then take that letter to register with a doctor and dentist. However, doctors and dentists have the right to refuse new NHS applications. If this happens, the students should request their universities to apply to their local NHS Primary Care Trust to be allocated to a doctor and dentist and they cannot then refuse to take the students.

I'm not sure whether you qualify automatically, but you could phone 0845 850 1166 and ask them to send you a HC1 form. You fill this in with details of your income and what important expenses you have to pay such as rent, council tax etc. If you qualify for full help you will be sent an HC2 certificate (which lasts for 1 year) which entitles you to free prescriptions, free NHS dental care and more. If you don't qualify for full help you might be able to get reduced rates. If you're not sure, it's always worth applying, they can only say you qualify or don't. It is especially worth calling them if you are trying to survive on a student loan.

I have severe latex allergy. I react not only to gloves but airborne particles of latex, so an office where they offer to use an alternative just for me, is not good enough.

Since most dentist wear gloves these days as to the hygienist, you could simply purchase two pairs of non latex gloves and bring them with you to your appointment, explain the situation, and I am sure they would wear them for your visit.
