I have teeth that badly need filling, but i simply cannot afford it with no job. I am on Job seekers allowance, and am just wondering if I would be able to get my fillings done on the NHS? please help me, it's really worrying me that my teeth will be left to rot and fall out. I wouldn't mind, but I take good care of them, brushing twice a day, flossing and mouthwash too. Is such a pain... Literally.... thanks
Free dental treatment on JSA?
yes you can- and you should also find it quite easy to register- get in there before the gov changes the rules again making us all unable to get treatment on the NHS
Reply:YES,you can get free dental care on J.S.A.
Reply:Yes you're entitled to free dental care whilst in reciept of JSA, all you have to do honey is visit your local dentist taking proof that you're in reciept of it. I feel your concerns and no one should have to go without a dentist, after all we all want nice and pearly whites.
Reply:You can get your teeth done on nhs if you are on JSA but make sure your dentist takes NHS/JSA patients.
Reply:Yes you get dental treatment prescriptions and glasses free on the NHS if your on JSA. Get yourself to the dentist before your teeth get any worse
Reply:you are entitled to free dental care, but you will need to find a dentist who is willing to take on NHS patients (i presume you are not already registered - if so get on down there!)
it is notoriously difficult to find a new dentist if you require treatment on the NHS, but its all down to luck/location, so try some of your local dentists, or ring NHSdirect for details of any dentist in your area taking on NHS patients.
if you are in extreme pain your local A%26amp;E may be able to help you but i think an extraction is all theyll offer.
