What should I get my uncle / dentist (who did free dental work for me)?

I had a tooth break %26amp; it needed a crown. He didn't charge anything, even though my husband and I don't have dental insurance. --that was three or four months ago--

Now my husband's tooth is starting to hurt (and we STILL don't have dental insurance). My uncle won't let us pay him but I feel like we should do something.

We have tried to offer services - like babysitting or graphic design (that is my husband's profession), but he just says that he will call us %26amp; never does (that might be because we live 45 minutes away).

Any ideas on what we can give him or do for his family - so we're not taking advantage of the situation?

Do something spontaneous and straight from the heart. Find out what his favortie restaurant is and give hime a gift card. Or do something more personal and make him a healthy dessert. Be creative and he will appreciate it!
Reply:how about something speacial...mabe something hommade??
Reply:candy
Reply:A case of Pepsi.
Reply:try sending him something. maybe a gift certificate for a body massage, or dinner, or something like that
Reply:Send him a gift card to a restaurant he likes.
Reply:Arrange a night to take him and his partner (if he has one) out to dinner. That would be nice. A good way to catch up, and show him your appreciation.
Reply:Buy him a bottle of his favorite liquor. Like Crown Royal canadian whiskey or something.
Reply:How about a homemade gift basket with wine. chocolate, flowers etc. It's classy, costs a good amount and is something that can be enjoyed.
Reply:how about a special thank you card and a gift card to a nice resturant and tell him in the card how thankful you are and how much his kindness meant to you
Reply:Make dinner for him and his family and deliver it to their house. Everyone appreciates a home cooked meal.
Reply:Get him some chattering teeth and drop them in his pants for April Fools Day!!!!!!
Reply:How about a lovely framed photo of you and your new smile.
Reply:if he's a big sports fan, give him 2 tix to a game. or find out what music he likes and get him tix..
Reply:Something that would make his life easier..! Maybe something for his office, like a plant or chairs...!
Reply:Well just give him the money even when he says no sneak it and lay it on the chair/desk or something.
Reply:I sure wish I had an uncle like yours, try surprising him with something he likes or maybe take him out to a fancy restaurant.
Reply:Just a thank you...
Reply:What about a gift certificate for a meal at a restaurant near him? Sounds like you have a great uncle.
Reply:You really need to get dental insurance OR go to a different dentist and pay. It isnt fair to your uncle. I mean you can buy him something he probably doesnt need or want . I would write him a most thoughtful thank you message with a small token like a package of golf balls if he plays golf or a bottle of wine if he drinks wine, something that fits his interests.
Reply:You and your husband could take your uncle and his family out for dinner or else invite them to your home for a family dinner and maybe rent some movies.
Reply:Easy... find out what He likes, buy that kind of gift or certificate. Take a weekend trip to go visit him. Say thankyou for his services and possibly have a lunch or dinner together.
Reply:Crowns are worth approx. $600.00 to $700.00 if you have insurance, if you don't they're worth about twice that much. Keeping that in mind, you might give him a gift certificate to a nice restaurant that will enable his family to go to dinner on you. Another suggestion is to have him and his family over for a very nice dinner. You could send him a gift basket filled with wine and gourmet items etc. However, whatever you do please extend some sort of thank you gesture because he has been extremely generous to you. You all are very fortunate!
Reply:dont give him squat, hes richer than you.
