Where can a person get free or very low dental care in Alabama?

Why is there lack of services offered to alabamaians when it comes to health? where in alabama can a person go for donated dental services, an other health related services for the poor?

You could go to a dental school where they practice on patients with an overseeing dentist for low cost, but each session is like 3 hours long! ( I tried it a few times!)

Or you can get a discount medical card (like I did!)

The company is AmeriPlan USA and they have 4 different plans for people who can't afford normal insurance coverage.

It covers all on-going medical and dental problems, with no physicals or paperwork to fill out. If this is something you are considering, I can tell you how it personally works for me.. and you can contact some of the dentists and doctors in your area to see the savings you could recieve with Ameriplan.

At the website you can click on the contact section.. and it gives my phone #. I'm central time, so I only ask that you don't call after 9. p.m. Thank you!
Reply:Try contacting your local dental society in Alabama and get the names of dentists that provide services to low income patients for free or sliding scale. You may have to call the American Dental Association first. Here are the links to the Amer. Dental Assoc., Alabama Dental Assoc. and the Birmingham Dental Assoc.
Reply:"Health Centers provide health and dental care to people of all ages, whether or not they have health insurance or the money to pay for health care. "

Also dental schools AND also community colleges where they train dental hygienists because those students assist dentists who do real procedures and for greatly reduced cost.

Sometimes just calling and shopping around works. I'm in Phoenix and I found a legit dentist who will do a crown for $500. My brother has dental insurance and his CO-PAY is $500 for a crown.

Good luck.
