Do active duty military and their dependents get free dental?

AD yes, dependants, no. There is a monthly cost($11/spouse, $32/spouse and all children) plus dependants have a co pay as well.





2 free cleanings a year, one set of x rays a year(but you have to pay for the copies). everything else is covered at a percentage..anywhere from 40-80%.





cosmetic dentisry is not covered for AD..there is a fee.

Active Duty does get free dental but their dependents don't but it only cost about $15 a month
Reply:the answer to this question is YES.,.,, The military personnell will always get top priority on all medical care and the spouse will have to wait a little bit longer for an appointment or accept afternoon appointments.
Reply:no we don't get fee dental. It just comes to us at a reduced price thanks to TRICARE.
Reply:no dental has a deductable you only get so much a year dental is not 100 percent paid. they pay about 80 percent
Reply:yes only at a military hospital..I didn't have to pay when I got my teeth done at Ft Devens in the 80s...the Army Dentists were so-so..
Reply:Active duty gets free dental. Their dependents pay a certain amount per month. As the spouse, I pay $11.05/month.
Reply:military members do, HOWEVER, if you are on tricare prime REMOTE, you pay like a $15.00 monthly payment for your family
Reply:We pay about $27/mo for the family TRICARE dental plan... they cover basic stuff at about 80% and then they cover higher end stuff at 50-70% depending on your rank. (the higher your rank the more you pay)


* if you are in major need the on-post dental clinics will see you on a space available basis, however they only do the basics--there is nothing aesthetic about military dental work...they drill you and then fill you --that's it.
Reply:soldiers do, dependants dont. Dependants have to sign up for United Concordia Dental Program. After your 1st month is paid via check or credit card, the monthly 19.00 will automatically come out of your soldiers pay. BUT you must find a dentist that is in the plan and you will still be responsible for 20% of the charges. The only things that you dont have to pay for are the 2 times a year cleanings and x-rays.
