Where in the UK will i be able to get free dental treatment not on the NHS?

But maybe a company looking for research or one of these dodgy website with before nad after shots????

you must be joking...free dental treatment...there was a dental practise open up the other week in Yorkshire and 2000 people queued to get on there books...dentist especially ones that do free nhs treatments are like hens teeth....they don't exist in the UK
Reply:depends where you live... i am in east yorkshire and got it no problem but i understand that there are difficulties in certain parts of the country

theres one in sheffield called the charles clifford dental hospital.


you will have students watching but its free.


they aren't felxible with appointments though, if you are in pain you can go in early in the morning and wait, otherwise you may have to wait months and wont be able to choose a time.
Reply:You could try your local dental hospital! They sometimes only deal with emergencies, but may offer clinics to others, for the students to practice on.
Reply:dental schools in your area. The students may be watching or even doing it but they are capable enough to do so. The tutors wouldn't let them otherwise.
Reply:You can try dental teaching hospitals but as far as I know you can only go there if referred by a dentist. I think a dentist will only refer you if there is extensive work to be done. Or if the work is too expensive for you to afford and is affecting you either physically (i.e. pain) or psychologically (i.e. loss of confidence). Also there is an extensive waiting list. Furthermore even if you do get an initial consultation they may not neccessarily carry out the treatment - you have to be a priority in most instances, or the work that needs to be done has to be a case that is quite rare - that is, something which trainee dental students do not get much practice with.
